The human inability to see or notice plants in daily life is a phenomenon known as
plant blindness. It also refers to the failure to recognize the role of plants on earth and
to the belief that plants are somehow inferior to animals.
This definition led to the project "The Verdant Gaze," an exploration of the unique
unique aesthetics and biology of the plant kingdom to which researchers of the past and present
have turned their gaze to understand and be inspired by.
Not only do plants respond to stimuli, they are able to solve problems; they have touch,
hearing, smell, taste, sight and other senses to perceive and communicate with the world.
